Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou

Depart Marrakech and journey over the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m) in the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, stop in traditional Berber villages and enjoy panoramic viewpoints.
Arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for many famous movies. Wander through its maze-like alleyways and ancient adobe kasbahs.

Day 2: Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora – Erg Chegaga

Depart Ait Ben Haddou and head toward Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Morocco." Continue through the scenic Draa Valley to Zagora, famous for its date palms and kasbahs. From Zagora, travel off-road into the vast Sahara to reach the remote dunes of Erg Chegaga.
Enjoy a camel ride at sunset and a traditional dinner at a desert camp under the stars.

Day 3: Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Tata

After breakfast, depart the dunes via the rugged off-road route to Foum Zguid, passing through dramatic desert scenery. Continue west through the isolated plains to the oasis town of Tata, nestled among palm groves and known for its unique desert architecture.

Day 4: Tata – Tafraout

Travel through the Anti-Atlas Mountains toward Tafraout, a town famous for its surreal pink granite rock formations and unique mountain scenery. Stop for photos in the stunning Aït Mansour Gorge or visit the Painted Rocks of Belgian artist Jean Vérame.
Enjoy the peaceful mountain air and dramatic views.

Day 5: Tafraout – Agadir – Essaouira

Begin your descent from the mountains to the Atlantic Coast. Pass through the city of Agadir, where you can stop for lunch and a quick walk along the beachfront. Then head north to the bohemian port city of Essaouira, known for its windy beaches, vibrant arts scene, and delicious seafood.

Day 6: Essaouira Free Day

Spend the day enjoying Essaouira at your own pace. Explore the medina, visit the fishing port, or relax on the beach. Optional activities include a cooking class, kitesurfing lesson, or hammam experience.

Day 7: Essaouira – Marrakech

After breakfast, take a final stroll through Essaouira’s charming medina before making your way back to Marrakech. Arriving by midday, you'll have the opportunity to explore the city's vibrant souks, the lively Jemaa el-Fna square, or unwind in one of its many beautiful gardens. Depending on your departure time, you may also have some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing before you leave.
